Thalia Isaacs About

Dr Thalia Isaacs discovered her passion for Obstetrics and Gynaecology when she was an undergraduate student. From this time onwards, she’s always been a strong advocate for all women's health matters.

Dr Thalia Isaacs obtained an MBChB from UCT in 2009. In 2014, she completed a Diploma in Obstetrics at the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa. Subsequently, she obtained an FCOG(SA) (fellowship of the Colleges of Obstetrics and Gynaecology) in 2019. In December 2021, Dr Isaacs received her Masters in Medicine at UCT.

Dr Isaacs interned and did her community service in her home town of PE at PE Hospital Complex. Following this, she worked as a generalist medical officer at Andries Vosloo Hospital in Somerset East.

She has been practising obstetrics and gynaecology since 2014, having worked at Dora Nginza Hospital and Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospitals as a Medical officer before becoming a Registrar in 2015.

Dr Isaacs is a member of SASOG and ISUOG with a keen interest in obstetric ultrasonography. She cares about all aspects of women's health and believes that gynaecologists should act as advocates for women and their health. She is a firm believer in forming partnerships with her patients as they navigate their pregnancy journeys.

Dr Isaacs is a proud mother of one. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and spending time with her family. She particularly loves exploring and discovering the beauty of South Africa.
